  • First Saturdays: Clicker Training Horses - Master the fundamentals of clicker training, the scientifically proven training techniques that are not only extremely safe and effective, but SUPER FUN for everyone involved!

  • Second Saturdays: Horse Ownership - Explore the joys and responsibilities of horse ownership. If you've got questions about it, come get answers from a bona fide horse professional, who has been in the business for over 25 years!

  • Third Saturdays: Problem Solving with Clicker Training - Tackle horse behavior challenges with creative solutions. Getting the message to a horse who isn't quite "getting it" can be a real puzzle sometimes. We can help you get unstuck, just bring your questions and we'll problem solve together!

  • Fourth Saturdays: Intro to Horses - A safe, comfortable introduction to horses for the curious. Take things at your pace - ask questions, meet the horses from a distance or interact up close, and find out whether horses are really just "big dogs" or not!

  • Fifth Saturdays: Dog Trainer Focus - Expand your training skills to another species! If you do clicker training with dogs (or other critters), find out what it's like to work with one of the biggest pet species in Maryland. R+ training experience is required.

all basics classes run from 2pm to 4pm each Saturday

Homeschoolers or anyone interested in bespoke instruction using this format, please get in touch. I’m happy to adapt the curriculum to suit your needs on an as-needed basis. All classes held at Purple Horse Farm in Highland, MD.
